Penfield Square – COMING SOON!

Penfield Square, former home to Wickham Farms at 1821 Fairport Nine-Mile Point Road, is currently under development in partnership with Home Leasing. The 8.4 acre property is adjacent to the Eastside YMCA and is a mixed-use senior living project. Construction began in July 2019 for 114 independent living apartments that will be managed by Home Leasing. ESLC will oversee 70 units – 40 moderately priced assisted living apartments and two small houses each with 15 memory care studios for those with cognitive impairments.

Additional amenities include village green event space available to the public, and retail shops and a bistro, all in an effort for Penfield Square to become an integral part of the community. Residents are slated to start moving in early 2021 (independent living) and spring 2021 (assisted living/memory care). The ESLC Neighborhood Program will be a vital part of the development, to further connect Penfield Square to the surrounding community, with programs and offerings that are responsive to the needs of seniors in the area.

Thirteen of the independent living apartments will be handicap accessible, and 45 apartments are reserved for frail older individuals who will receive supportive services administered by the New York State Department of Health through the Governor’s Empire State Supportive Housing Initiative (ESSHI). ESLC is the supportive service provider. ESSHI application.
