Exercise, fun and friendship – three ingredients that enhance the lives of people as they grow older, based on multiple clinical studies. In fact, staying active and maintaining social networks are proven to be essential to healthy aging. For these reasons Episcopal SeniorLife Communities introduced our Neighborhood Program in 2012. The Program is offered at eight campuses and is open to all seniors who in the surrounding neighborhood. Each promote health and wellness through a tailored balance plan, nutrition education, strength training, informative presentations and other activities. Members of the program benefit from a social network and improvement in their strength, endurance and balance—all while making life more fun and active.
