Recognizing Excellence in Senior Care

For more than 150 years, Episcopal SeniorLife Communities and our senior living team members have been at the forefront of innovation in senior health and wellness, providing individualized care while expanding options for the community. This has been our highest priority and made possible by caring, competent staff. We are proud of our senior living staff and like to recognize unique gifts and talents through the following Annual Recognition Awards:

Canon St. Julian Simpkins Employee of the Year Award

This award acknowledges senior living staff members who exemplify the characteristics of Canon St. Julian Simpkins through their relationship with our residents, staff and through their dedication to their job and ESLC.

  • Dedication: Goes above and beyond in performing their job
  • Compassion: Is sensitive to others and their needs
  • Friendliness: Is cheerful and friendly in their relationships with residents and staff
  • Respect: Works well with all staff members and treats others the way they would want to be treated

Catherine Johnson Caregiver of the Year Award

This award acknowledges senior living team members who exemplify the qualities of Catherine Johnson, through dedication, loyalty and caring to those in need.

  • Dedication: Goes above and beyond in performing their job
  • Loyalty: Is steadfast and displays faithfulness and devotion to person-centered care
  • Caring: Continuously displays concern, support and encouragement

Austin E. Hildebrandt Award of Honor

When you are a part of a senior living staff, it’s encouraged to have your work backed by compassion and empathy. Recipients of this award have demonstrated the following attributes:

  • Conviction: Belief in the goodness of people and recognizes the value of relationships and friends
  • Humility: Requires no recognition for good deeds or generosity
  • Inspiration: Helps others to believe in themselves, support each other and share their individual talents
  • Compassion: Continuously displays concern, support and encouragement to face life’s challenges

Loren J. Ranaletta Award of Honor

Recipients of this award have demonstrated the following attributes:

  • Faithfulness: Demonstrates strong commitment and loyalty, and is a reliable, trusted employee
  • Creativity: Exhibits originality, progressiveness, and imagination to create meaningful new ideas
  • Self-confidence: Displays realistic assurance in judgment and ability
  • Sincerity: Communicates and acts with candor and clarity while showing respect and appreciation for the talents and treasures of others

All of our Annual Recognition Awards are meant to highlight our senior living team members who have exceeded the expectations of their role and more importantly our residents. Every one of our senior living staff have the opportunity to use their unique gifts to make a difference.
