St. John Fisher College hosts a Civic Engagement Awards Celebration each year to celebrate student, faculty and community partnerships. This year, Valley Manor received the Reciprocity Award which recognizes partnerships that are models of beneficial relationships among partners, faculty and students. Gail Reeves (Director of Resident Services at Valley Manor), Dr. Patricia Tweet (SJFC Sociology Professor), and 4th Grade teachers Ruth Johnstone and James Lonadier were recognized.
This intergenerational partnership among all culminated in “A Day at Fisher” and “Career Day at Valley Manor” for the elementary school students. Check out Channel 13’s Bright Spot for a closer look at Career Day.
