Penfield Square, former home to Wickham Farms, is a development formed in partnership with Home Leasing. The 8.4-acre senior assisted living and memory care community near Rochester, NY, is adjacent to the Eastside YMCA in Penfield, and is a mixed-use residential and commercial venture. Ashley Woods offers 70 total senior living homes which consist of 40 moderately priced assisted living apartments and two small houses, each with 15 studios for those in need of memory care. The Gardens, adjacent to Ashley Woods, opened in February 2021 and offers 114 affordable senior independent living apartments operated by Home Leasing.
Village green event space is available to the public, as well as retail shops and a café, all in an effort for Penfield Square to become an integral part of the community. The ESLC Neighborhood Program, an active health and wellness program for seniors, is open to the community.
Episcopal SeniorLife Communities offers supportive senior housing services to the independent living residents of The Gardens through the Empire State Supportive Housing Initiative (ESSHI). This initiative is designed to provide housing for seniors who are Medicaid-eligible and require some support services to live independently.
