Peter Blackwood has combined his love of the outdoors with a lifetime of learning photography to become a skilled artisan portraying the natural world. He retired from a career in Nursing in 2011 and has been able to ‘focus’ on his outdoor photography to create visual depictions of nature that are presented as pieces of art.
In the past 15 years Peter has presented numerous solo exhibits at the Wood Library in Canandaigua, where he has also taught digital photography. He displays his art at the Pat Rini Rorher Gallery in Canandaigua, Wegmans in Canandaigua, the Canandaigua Library, and intermittently at various venues such as Image City Photography Gallery here in Rochester. Peter is a member of the Ontario County Arts Council rotating artists group. You can visit his website here.
