About Us

Founded in 1868 on the Christian values of The Episcopal Church and its members, The Episcopal Church Home has been meeting the needs of our community with care and compassion.

For over 140 years, our hallmark has always been our ability to respond to social needs and change as necessary to provide the utmost care.  We have become Episcopal SeniorLife Communities in order to meet the evolving changes of the local community and to provide senior care across a spectrum of services. Our focus on each individual makes us one of the most trusted providers of senior care in the Rochester area.

The foundation of our vision is our commitment to our core values – dedication, compassion, respect, friendliness, and innovation. Inspiration is the common thread throughout all of our core values. Episcopal SeniorLife Communities is Life. Inspired every day.

“We want to ensure that the gift of life is experienced and enjoyed through inspiring relationships and activities,” says Loren Ranaletta. “It means that you have to find what really inspires you.” We hope residents, staff, volunteers, donors, and everyone who encounters ESLC will experience that meaningful inspiration.

“I think the best thing is that because you’re living here, the people around you become your close personal friends. The staff is very friendly. There is a lot of personal service because we are such a small community; everyone gets to know each other. We are not just people passing in the hallway, some of us become close personal friends.” –Bob, River Edge Manor Resident
